Jérémie Mercier
Jérémie is the founder and the director of Children for Tomorrow Orphanage. Jérémie’s love for kids has not come by accident. He got involved in the Vacation Bible School his church organized during the summer. As he grew up and learned English, he served as an interpreter for the said activity. The more he worked with the kids, the passionate he became. Jérémie accepted a communication officer position at the UN to improve his income. However, the fatal earthquake that hit Haiti in 2010 caused him to reconsider his career. He then found “Children for Tomorrow” to improve the poorest and desperate kids ‘life. In the beginning, Jérémie used his wages to provide life supplies and rent a facility for the kids until he got some support. He accommodates 54 kids now and the demand is increasing.
Audfice Accilien
Audfice Accilien is a social worker and psychologist. He graduated from the Institute of Social Work and Social Sciences. He initially came to the orphanage as an intern student in social work in November 2014. Having successfully fulfilled his intern assignment, he was committed to offering his talents to the orphanage. He has been working closely and harmoniously with the children since. Mr. Accilien is responsible for educational programming and preparing and updating the children's files. He travels regularly from Port-au-Prince to Hinche and spends three days with the children weekly.
Vénita Augustin
Vénita also known as Madame Jean Claude, is a cook at the orphanage. She has been working for the orphanage for many years. She keeps the kids fed, and she is like a mother to them. The kids like her so much, most of them join her at the kitchen to help her prepare the food. She is a laborious worker and teaches the children how to cook.
Wideline Deshommes
Wideline is an accountant. She worked for a bank as a micro-loan agent for two years. However, her love for children and desire to give to the greater good, caused her to offer her expertise and support to the orphanage. She serves as the treasurer of the orphanage and she is also responsible for purchasing food items and furniture as needed. She works ethically and puts all her energy to move the orphanage forward. She is eager to help improve the children’s lives.
Jocelin Israel
Jocelin serves as a housekeeper and is in charge of the discipline with the kids. Jocelin has been working for the orphanage since its inception. He worked in the Dominican Republic prior to the devastating tragedy that hit Haiti in 2010. Following the earthquake, he decided to return to Haiti in order to contribute to the rebuilding process. Thus, he joined the orphanage in the very beginning. Jocelin is a hard-working man, team player and he has a passion for the care for the children. He consistently helps in any way he is needed.
Éliana Jean
Éliana is a housekeeper at the orphanage. She has been working for the organization for a long time, and she is considered “the best cleaner ever.” Éliana keeps the facility clean, does laundry and she is always eager to get things done properly and in a timely manner. She likes her job and works ethically to help improve the children’s life.
