The Orphanage Has Officially Moved!

We have some very exciting news to share - the orphanage has moved! It has always been Jeremy’s vision to move to a place with plenty of land for the children to run around and learn on. From learning farming to math, this land is where the children will blossom. Although great progress has been made with the new building, we are in need of funding to finish the roof. As we start 2022, we greatly hope you will consider making a donation to such an important cause! Attached below are photos of the new building’s construction in Doco. Donate now >

Cloth Distribution in Andra

Within rural Haiti, public services do not exist. This means: no public schools; no emergency services; no public water supply, and limited access to food sources. Jérémie is doing his best to meet the basic needs of the children in the villages.

Today, he was in Andra, one of the villages he is supporting. There, he distributed cloth to make uniforms for the students of a school, which he facilitated the building of. Want to help Jérémie provide more change in Haiti? Click here.

New Well Now Open in Cassois

Today was an exciting day in Cassois, one of the villages Jérémie is helping to improve! Today, with help from boys from the orphanage, Jérémie completed the installation of a new well. In the past the children used to walk miles in search of water in a river, which was contaminated. Thanks to the construction of this well, they now have access to safe water. Thank you to all who have donated to make this access to clean water possible!

Ketiana goes to college!

Amazing and exciting news today! This is Ketiana, and she is the FIRST child in the orphanage who will be attending college!

Ketiana was born in Hinche, Haiti. She lost her father at the age of 2, leaving her widowed mother to take care of her. Her mother placed her at the orphanage because she could not meet her needs. She has worked incredibly hard at school and just finished her studies. Her next dream is to get her college degree and become a nurse. Congratulations, Ketiana!

Congratulations, Wilsaint!

This is Wilsaint. He is a fantastic example of why the orphanage Jérémie runs is SO important to the children of Haiti and their futures, as well as the future of the country.

Wilsaint was born in an area of Haiti called Platon Orange. This area is one of the absolute poorest in the country and any kind of future for a child raised there is unlikely.

Wilsaint came to the orphanage ten years ago and since then has attended school and worked very hard. Yesterday, he was informed that he is now the valedictorian of his class. Wilsaint plans to become a doctor. Congratulations to him, and thank you to Jérémie for giving this young man a future!

Solar Lamps

Last week, Jérémie and his team distributed solar-powered lamps to families in Calbassier, one of the three villages Jérémie helps provide for. Since this village has no electricity, these lamps are the only source of light for these families.
